# English Daily

> A free English practice platform built around material that changes every weekday. Learners
> practise listening, speaking, reading and writing on real published English — TED talks, BBC
> news, Medium essays and public-domain literature — and get AI feedback on what to fix. No
> subscription and no placement test.

English Daily organises practice along an in/out axis: listening and reading are what a learner
takes *in*, speaking and writing are what they produce *out*. Most learners are lopsided in one
direction, and the site is designed to make that visible. A full session across all four modes
takes roughly fifteen minutes.

Source material is refreshed automatically every weekday, so the vocabulary learners encounter is
the vocabulary currently in use rather than textbook English.

  generated listening comprehension exercises for CET-4, CET-6, TOEFL, IELTS and BEC
  (Preliminary, Vantage, Higher).
- [Speaking practice](https://englishdaily.ai/speak): read a daily passage aloud; the recording is
  transcribed and scored against the source text within seconds. Recordings can be shared and
  played back by other learners.
- [Reading practice](https://englishdaily.ai/read): daily articles from BBC News and Medium across
  topics including news, life, AI, work, health, technology, society, culture, love and family.
- [Writing practice](https://englishdaily.ai/write): an everyday writing prompt each day with AI
  grammar correction, plus a translation exercise checked for grammar and meaning against a model
  answer. Model answers are provided in English, Chinese, Spanish, Arabic, Japanese, Russian,
  Korean, Indonesian, Hindi and Farsi.
